YOUTH ATHLETICS
INDOOR TRACK and FIELD PROGRAM
The Knoxville Track Club Youth Athletics Indoor Track Program is an eight week program for boys and girls ages 6 to18. In addition to local practices, we will be competing in a series of indoor meets for Youth and High School aged kids..
First Practice - 1/6/08 - Knoxville Convention Center (below Holiday Inn)
Please register online prior to your first practice - registration is still open
Practice Site (s):
- Exhibition Hall 3- Holiday Inn Worlds Fair Site (Lower Level) - Free Parking at Locust St. Garage - ( Map ) Dates marked in Red
- Exhibition Hall B - New Knoxville Convention and Exhibition Center - Dates Marked in Blue
- University of Tennessee’s – Tom Black Track will be used for some practices for distance runners and other groups weather permiting - all groups to meet at Convention Center regardless.
Practice Schedule:
First Practice Sunday 1/6/08. Practices will be held on the following schedule - practice days marked in red / blue - 6:30-8:30 PM:

- KTC High School Indoor Track Classic (High School) - Johnson City, TN - January 18-19
- Alabama USATF Championships (14 and under) - Priceville, Al - January 26
- Indiana Track Club High School Meet - February TBA
- USATF South Zone Youth Indoor Championships (Age groups = Youth -14 and under) Chapel Hill, NC - February 17, 2008
- Kentucky HS Invite (must meet entry standards) - Lexington, KY - February 23, 2008
- Nike National Scholastic Meet (must meet entry stds) - Landover, Maryland - March 15-16, 2008
Meet and Travel Information
Fees: $50.00 made payable to Knoxville Track Club. This covers coaching and the cost of your AAU Card required to participate in meets. Lodging / transportation for overnight trips and meet entry fees will be arranged by the Knoxville Track Club and will paid for by the Parent /Athlete. Parents/Athletes will share in the travel expenses of the coaches. Team Uniforms are available for purchase at The Runners Market 865-588-1650.
