AAU SOUTH EASTERN DISTRICT - MULIT-EVENTS MEET (July 7-8, 2007).  The District Mulit-Events Meet (Triathlon / Pentathlon / Heptathlon / Decathlon) will be held one week after the open track meet at Tom Black Track.  For meet information and online entry please click: Multi-Events Meet Information

ELIGIBILITY

Competition is open to all boys and girls who have a valid/current AAU registration card and currently reside in the Southeastern District of AAU.  For AAU Team and individual registration please visit the AAU web site at: AAU Registration

EVENTS LIMITS

There is a three (3) event maximum for the Primary, Sub Bantam, Bantam, Sub Midget and Midget divisions. There is a four (4) events maximum for Sub Youth, Youth, Intermediate, and Young divisions.  EVENT MAXIMUM includes RELAYS AND FIELDS EVENTS. Relay team members must be declared with alternates.

ENTRY FEE

An entry fee of $14.00 per contestant  ALL ENTRIES MUST BE  SUBMITTED ONLINE (Including relays) .at www.coacho.com  No paper or faxed entries will be accepted. .All declarations and scratches will be done at www.coacho.com.  YOUR ENTRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED UNTIL PAYMENT IS RECEIVED.

 ENTRY DEADLINE

The entry deadline is June 24th.

LODGING: Host Hotel - The Marriott Downtown, less than two miles from the track, is offering a a special room rate of $75.00 (single or double). To take advantage of this rate, make reservations as early as possible. Please call (865) 637-1234 and use group code AAU when making your reservation.

Relays: Please include all team members and alternates--up to 8 total members for a team

Athletes Release Form: This will be done online when you declare your entries. Your entries will not be accepted without it. 

Awards: Medals will be given to top 3 places in each event.

Parking: Parking will be meter only for Friday. All parking lots will be available on the weekend and after five on weekdays. NO PARKING IN LOTS ON WEEKDAYS, YOU WILL BE TICKETED.

Packet Pick up: Packets will be available at the track in the HPER breezeway behind the press box at the main entry gate one hour before competition starts on both  days until the end of competition.

Events Schedule: Events may run up to 1 hour ahead of schedule. Please listen for your event call. We will only call each event two times. Age groups of like sex may be combined in distance races/walks which have minimal participation.

Special Event :

2004 Olympic Gold Medallist Dee Dee Trotter and two time Olympian (800m) Hazel Clark in conjunction with the Knoxville Track Club will be presenting a special program to kids at the conclusion of the first day of competition of the AAU Southeastern District Track and Field Championships at Tom Black Track 6/29/07.  Trotter, also a silver medallist in the 400 in Athens, has established a foundation to bring awareness to youth about the dangers of performance enhancing substances.  We hope you can join them for this inspiring program starting at 6PM - 6/29/07.

Admission: Admission will be charged on Friday and Saturday.  The daily ticket price will be $4. Children under 3 are free.

NOTE: Since the AAU Junior Olympic Games are held in the Southeastern District this year the top six (6) from each event at this district meet will advance directly to the Junior Olympics. SEAAU will not participate in the Regional meet this year.
