Athletes and Parents - Please Read !!!

Compliance with these Policies is NOT an Option !!!

 

Guiding Principle for KTC Team Travel

Travel and overnight stay with the Knoxville is a privilege not a birthright.  The travel fees paid by parents do not entitle bad behaviour. 

Violation of any of the policies listed below will result in immediate expulsion from the team and an all expenses paid return trip to

Knoxville courtesy of your parent.  Simply put: "One false start and you are out" - "No second chances"

Travel Policies                                                                                                                                                                

 

  1. All athletes 11 and up are Required to travel and stay with the team
  2. Any team transportation that is left unclean after any trip will be cleaned by those using this transportation.  
  3. Rooms will be assigned by the head chaperone / coach according to events qualified in / meet schedule; there shall be no      special room assignments and no switching of rooms.
  4. No loud music allowed in any of the rooms.  Group video games (Play station / X Box / Game Cube) will be limited to athletes in   their assigned rooms – no others.  Playing of these games are limited to team rules for noise and curfew
  5. Curfew times:  8-14 yrs – 9:00; 15-18 yrs – 10:00 ALL LIGHTS SHOULD BE OUT BY 10:30 PM – If the meet schedule delays a timely return to the hotel we will be flexible with curfew to allow athletes to eat and return to their rooms.
  6. Any athlete out of their room after curfew will be sent to the head coach or head chaperone.   Failure of an athlete to remain in their assigned rooms will result in team dismissal.  No athlete should go into another athlete’s room without the permission of the chaperone / head coach.
  7. Once an athlete’s door has been taped at curfew no one may take it off except for the head coach or the head chaperone unless it is an emergency.
  8. Athletes needing to contact parents in Knoxville can do so by going to a chaperone / head coaches room to make the call.  Each athlete should have a calling card to do so.
  9. No telephone use by athletes after curfew unless it is an emergency; illness or injury.
  10. Any athlete found to create a disturbance at a lodging facility that results in disturbing other guests or hotel management will be sent to the head coach or head chaperone.  Failure of an athlete to abide by KTC overnight travel policies will result in the athlete being removed from the meet and sent home either via their parents or available public transportation.
  11. Each room will be inspected on check out for cleanliness.  If a room is not kept up to standards athletes in these rooms will not be allowed to travel with the team on subsequent trips.
  12. All athletes should keep up with their own room keys, spikes, uniforms and other valuables.  If a room key is lost and cannot be replaced by the front desk the athlete will pay a fee to have it replaced. 
  13. No athlete may leave the hotel or event venue without notifying the chaperones or head coach. 
  14. All athletes are required to take a sweat suit(s) or warm-ups on all trips.
  15. All athletes should dress appropriately when leaving the hotel.  If the attire is not deemed appropriate by the chaperone/ head coach the athlete will be sent back to their room to change.
