For over 40 years the Knoxville Track Club has given area track and field athletes an opportunity to take their track and field skills to the next level.  The Youth Track and Field Competitive Team exists to give our area’s most talented young athletes expert instruction, and a chance to compete against the nation’s best in either AAU or USATF Competition. The results speak for themselves:

KTC's Competitive Team Members who are currently high school seniors of 2007 will be joining the college ranks in 2008.  Check out the kids who are taking thier track and field skills to the next level:

5/10/07 - Knoxville, TN - Gatlinburg Pittman HS and KTC standout distance runner David Clabo will run for the Vols in 2008.  The 2006 A/AA Tennessee State Cross Country Champion and runner up in the 2007 state track championships in the 1600 and 3200 will be a great local addiion to the Vols young but talented distance group.  Way to go David.

5/10/07 - Knoxville, TN - Knoxville West standout distance runner Stewart Chandler - 5th in the AAA division State Cross Country Championships in 2006 and placing 3rd and 4th respectivley in the 3200 and 1600 in the 2007 State track and field championships will run for the University of Tennessee - Chattanooga.

5/10/07 - Morristown, TN - Morristown West HS and KTC Cross Country Team members Terra and Tesha Haggard will run for East Tennessee this coming fall.  The Haggard twins were both members of Morristown West two time Tennessee AAA Girls Cross Country Team Champions.

5/3/07 - Knoxville, TN - Bearden HS and KTC Thrower Taylor Rotella will be a Lady Vol in the 08 track and field season.  Rotella, a Nike Indoor Nationals qualifier for KTC will throw the hammer in the college ranks.  Great job Taylor - we are proud of you !

4/25/07 - Knoxville, TN - Fulton HS and KTC standout thrower Mark Brown II will take his shot and disc talents onto Winston Salem State University.  Brown, the 2007 KIL Discus Champion and Tennessee's top returning discus thrower in 2007was KTC's top boys thrower during the 2007 Indoor Season.  Congratualtions Mark Brown !

4/16/07 - Morristown, TN -  Morristown West and KTC standout distance runner Haley Moody becomes KTC's fourth athlete to sign with an SEC school in 2007.  Haley in the midst of a breakout track season, signed to run with Alabama- joining other KTC athletes Bianca Blair (South Carolina), Danielle Sampley (Kentucky) and Taylor Rotella (Tennessee) in the SEC.  KTC's Jenae Anderson also will be running D1 after signing with Georgia Tech.  Congratulations Haley and all of our KTC signees.
